Zusammenfassung
Der Analyse und dem Verständnis organisationaler Kaufentscheidungen kommt im Rahmen der Wissenschaft wie auch der Praxis eine große Bedeutung zu. Einerseits beleuchtet eine Vielzahl von Forschungsansätzen das organisationale Beschaffungsverhalten aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven, um damit zum Verständnis der Zusammenhänge und Abläufe beizutragen. Andererseits nutzen in der Praxis auf Industriegütermärkten agierende Unternehmen, die ihre Produkte an andere produzierende Unternehmungen verkaufen, die Kenntnisse über den organisationalen Beschaffungsprozess, um adäquate Vermarktungsstrategien zu entwickeln. Da Beschaffungsentscheidungen die Basis sämtlicher weiterer unternehmerischer Aktivitäten bilden (Upah/Bird, 1980), gelten sie als besonders relevant für einen reibungslosen Ablauf von Produktions- und auch Absatzprozessen (Fitzgerald, 1989, S. 1). Infolgedessen wird der Analyse von diesen oftmals komplexen Kaufentscheidungsprozessen viel Zeit gewidmet. Erkenntnisse über die Beschaffungsvorgänge potentieller Verwender-Organisationen erleichtern anbietenden Unternehmen eine zielführende strategische Ausrichtung sowie die Gestaltung des Marketinginstrumentariums erheblich.
