Zusammenfassung

Ausländische Tochtergesellschaften können von vielfältigen Risiken betroffen sein (Miller und Waller, 2003; Parks und Flores, 2000). Entscheidungen über Folgeinvestitionen zu ihrer Vergrößerung stellen eine Herausforderung dar, wenn ihre Erfolgsaussichten ungewiss und die nötigen Direktinvestitionen irreversibel sind. Die vorliegende Arbeit untersucht den Einfluss wirtschaftlicher Unsicherheit auf Entscheidungen zur Vergrößerung junger Auslandsgesellschaften sowie den moderierenden Effekt der Irreversibilität auf diese Beziehung.
