Abstract
The fourth chapter outlines the research model and the associated hypotheses. In the first chapter, three research questions have been defined. The first question refers to the performance effects of exploitation, exploration and their interaction. The second research question extends this context by addressing possible external and internal contingency factors. The third research question deals with the organizational arrangements that foster the balance between exploitation and exploration and thus, with the organizational antecedents of ambidexterity.
