Das im Folgenden zu erstellende Koordinationsmodell soll für interorganisationale Supply Chains in der Automobilindustrie ausgelegt werden, im Speziellen für konvergierende Supply-Chain-Strukturen von Zulieferern auf der zweiten Supply-Chain-Stufe (Tier 2) bis zum Automobilhersteller. Lieferanten ab der dritten Belieferungsebene sowie das aus Sicht eines OEM divergierende Distributionsnetzwerk sind nicht mehr Gegenstand der Betrachtung, was mit der Begrenzung der Fallstudie in Kapitel 6 auf zwei Lieferantenebenen zu begründen ist. Das Modell soll jedoch so aufgebaut werden, dass es bei Bedarf auch für Supply-Chain-Konstellationen mit drei oder mehreren Lieferantenstufen erweiterbar ist.1
