Das vorliegende Kapitel fasst die Inhalte und Ergebnisse der Arbeit zusammen. Hierzu wird im ersten Abschnitt das in dieser Untersuchung entwickelte Vorgehens- und Steuerungsmodell zum Community-Engineering in professionell orientierten Virtuellen Communities übersichtlich beschrieben. Die Ergebnisse aus der Evaluierung werden kurz zusammenfassend dargestellt. Anschließend erfolgt die Beantwortung der drei eingangs in der Arbeit gestellten forschungsleitenden Fragestellungen. Die sich aus dem Untersuchungsvorgang ergebenden Konsequenzen hinsichtlich des weiteren Forschungsbedarfs werden abschließend aufgezeigt.
