In the previous chapter the spotlight was on methods based on matrices. It has been shown how they are constructed, their advantages and constraints. There is an important limitation to the method and this can be summarized as the behavior over the course of time. To analyze the behavior over the course of time simulation is a preferable approach. This chapter starts with a modification driven simulation. During the further steps towards a stock and flow simulation the model is enhanced in the sense of that not only more information is added into the model but also more results emerge.
