Analysis and Results
The following sixth chapter presents the results of the empirical analysis regarding the associations between family influence, strategic fit, and firm performance. Chapter 6 contains three sections. Section 6.1 is concerned with the descriptive results. First, general firm characteristics are discussed including firm age, number of employees, sales and industry distribution. Thereafter, descriptive results are discussed with respect to family influence, strategy, organizational structure, strategic fit and firm performance. Section 6.2 is concerned with the correlation analysis while section 6.3 addresses the inferential analysis with regards to the four hypotheses.
