Abstract
Serviceorientierte Architekturen (SOA) sind technologische Konzepte, die in der betrieblichen Praxis eine zunehmende Verbreitung erfahren und eine effiziente Infrastruktur für anpassungsfähige Geschäftsprozesse darstellen. Supply Chain Event Management (SCEM) ist ein Teilbereich des Supply Chain Managements und ein Konzept zur Erreichung unternehmensübergreifender Transparenz, das eine rechtzeitige Reaktion auf kritische Ausnahmeereignisse („Events“) sicherstellen soll. Beide für das Management globaler Lieferketten relevanten Themengebiete bringt dieser Beitrag erstmals zusammen. Ausgehend von den Nutzenpotenzialen des SCEM, systematisiert dieser mögliche Implikationen der Serviceorientierung und illustriert die Ausgestaltung einer serviceorientierten SCEM-Architektur anhand der Modeindustrie, die in hohem Maße durch internationale Beschaffungs-, Produktions-, Transport- und Vertriebsstrukturen geprägt ist.
