Zusammenfassung

Innovationen tragen wesentlich zum Überleben am Markt und zum Wachstum eines Unternehmens bei. Sie stellen somit eine wichtige Einflussgröße für den finanziellen Erfolg eines Unternehmens dar (Srinivasan et al. 2009). Aufgrund dieser hohen wirtschaftlichen Bedeutung von Innovationen ist es nicht verwunderlich, dass sich Wissenschaftler umfassend mit diesem Phänomen beschäftigt haben. Trotz der zahlreichen wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnisse bleiben in der Unternehmenspraxis die Misserfolgsraten von neuen Dienstleistungen und neuen Produkten jedoch exorbitant hoch – oftmals aufgrund bestehender Probleme während der unternehmensinternen Implementierung von Innovationsprojekten (BusinessWeek 2008). Aus diesem Grund ist in mindestens zweierlei Hinsicht weiterer Forschungsbedarf vorhanden. Um über eine Verbesserung des Innovationserfolges einen Beitrag zur Sachgüter- und Dienstleistungsproduktivität zu leisten.
