Zusammenfassung

Seit geraumer Zeit gehört China zu den Ländern mit den höchsten Direktinvestitionen (Foreign Direct Investment/ FDI), wobei in den vergangenen Jahren eine Zunahme des Anteils in den wissensintensiven Bereichen zu beobachten ist. Gleichzeitig sind jedoch Verletzungen von Verfügungsrechten über geistiges Eigentum nicht nur integraler Teil eines wachsenden Sektors in der chinesischen Volkswirtschaft, sie sind – was viel schwerer wiegt – zum Bestandteil des „ganz normalen sozialen Lebens“ geworden und nicht mehr einfach zurückzudrehen. Die wirtschaftlichen, sozialen und moralischen Folgekosten sind beträchtlich. Die Verstöße gegen Verfügungsrechte betreffen auch hochwertige Technologien und Ergebnisse wissenschaftlicher Forschung.
