Analysis and results

  • Benjamin Niedergassel

In the preceding chapter, a detailed model for investigating knowledge sharing in collaborative R&D projects has been developed. The following paragraphs present an empirical study that serves to test the hypotheses contained in the model. Particularly, this chapter commences with providing information on the survey and the sample. Subsequently, measures are developed to operationalize the variables included in the model. Various descriptive results are then presented to allow for a better understanding of collaborative R&D projects in the chemical and biological sciences in general. Following the descriptive statistics, multivariate statistics are employed to test the hypotheses developed in chapter 0. The empirical section of this work concludes with a summary of the obtained results.
