Related Work and Work Hypothesis
The dilemma of modelling complex hardware/software systems is the combination of the three main aspects: speed, accuracy and effort. The target is to have high speed models with high accuracy, combined with a low effort for model creation and application. For μC applications this means to have nearly 100 percent cycle accurate models, which are created or generated automatically, and which run in real time on a standard Personal Computer (PC). This requirement is nearly impossible to fulfill.
