Abstract
In addition to the traditional areas of use (employees or server identification), a public key infrastructure (PKI) can be integrated in industrial facilities. In this case, however, the characteristics of certificate enrolment and lifecycle management differ from those required for standard implementation. These differences are presented in this document together with potential use cases detailing certificate integration in industrial solutions.
