Auszug
Neben der Rekonstruktion der Bewegungen der Fahrzeuge vor und nach der Kollision sind in der Rekonstruktion eines Verkehrsunfalls oft weitere Fragestellungen hinsichtlich der Insassen zu beantworten. Zur Beantwortung dieser Fragestellungen werden eigene Insassensimulationsmodule meist Mehrkörpersimulationsmodule wie Adams, Madymo, ATB und das Insassenmodul in PC-Crash eingesetzt. In der Automobilindustrie werden die Mehrköpersimulationsprogramme von der Finite Elemente (FE)-Berechnung abgelöst (Nastran, PAM Crash, Radioss, Dyna3D u. a.), auf Grund der hohen Rechenzeit und der zeitaufwändigen Handhabung sind diese Modelle jedoch derzeit in der Unfallrekonstruktion noch nicht in der Praxis brauchbare Mittel.
