Im Zusammenhang mit IT-Management wird häufig der Begriff IT-Govemance verwendet. Das folgende Kapitel klärt zunächst das Verständnis von IT-Govemance und setzt diese in Beziehung mit dem IT-Management. Anschließend werden die Aufgaben der IT-Govemance skizziert und Referenzmodelle wie die Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT) und die ergänzende Val IT-Initiative vorgestellt.
