Abstract
This chapter presents the motivation for the support of software architecture restructuring (Section 1.1) that is researched in this thesis and introduces the proposed solution approach (Section 1.2). The consequent scientific contributions of the thesis are summarised in Section 1.3. Finally, Section 1.4 gives an overview of the remainder of the thesis.
