Lehrerbildung im Fach Mathematik ist eine Thematik von beträchtlicher Komplexität. Ein zentraler Punkt ist die Professionalisierung der angehenden Pädagogen als Fachlehrerinnen und -lehrer der Mathematik. Mit dieser Blickrichtung skizzieren wir im Folgenden zentrale empirische Befunde und benennen Ziele für eine Neuorientierung der universitären Lehrerbildung.
