Zusammenfassung
Extreme Risiken begleiten unser Leben. Während unsere Vorfahren Gefahren und Risiken als gottgegeben hinnahmen, wird heute die Entstehung von Gefahren auf das Handeln von Menschen zurückgeführt. Damit wird Risiko kalkulierbar, und es werden Verantwortlichkeiten zugewiesen. Auch Naturkatastrophen behandeln wir heute als Risiken, wenn wir Vermeidungsstrategien entwickeln, wie zum Beispiel, wenn wir Dämme bauen oder schlicht eine Versicherung abschließen.
