3D-CFD-Modeling of the Thermodynamic Properties of the Working Fluid
The solution of the operating cycle of an internal combustion engine - in comparison to thermodynamic machines with external fuel combustion or heat generation (steam engines, Stirling engines, etc.) that work with a fluid (water, helium, etc.) with well defined thermodynamic properties - becomes more complicated due to the determination of the changing properties of the working fluid as a result of internal chemical reactions.
