Zusammenfassung

Alle bis hierher beschriebenen Methoden zur Erzeugung von Ionen für die Massenspektrometrie setzen voraus, dass der Analyt zur Ionisation entweder direkt unter Hochvakuumbedingungen (EI, CI, FI, FD) oder irgendwie gelöst flüssig (FAB) oder in fester Lösung (co-kristallisiert) vorliegen muss (LDI, MALDI). Im Falle der flüssigen oder festen Lösungen werden dann Ionen in die Gasphase extrahiert oder desorbierte Neutralteilchen nahe der Grenzfläche in der Gasphase ionisiert.
