Zusammenfassung
Die Spermatophyten (Samenpflanzen) bilden eine Gruppe von Pflanzen mit Samen, die deutlich erkennbare Fortpflanzungsorgane bilden wie die Zapfen der Gymnospermen oder Blüten der Angiospermen. Es sind Phanerophyten, d. h. Pflanzen, deren Fortpflanzungsorgane sichtbar sind. Diese Gruppen sind heute stark vertreten und weit verbreitet.
