Was das betrifft, so haben die Forscher festgestellt, dass Menschen übertrieben oft Zusammenhànge zwischen gleichzeitig stattfindenden Ereignissen vermuten oder sogar welche erfinden, zum Beispiel: „Es ist doch klar, dass er sich mir gegenüber kühl gegeben hat, schließlich stammt er aus dem Norden“ oder: „Am Steuer sind Frauen gefàhrlicher als Mànner“. Indessen belegt die Statistik, dass das Risiko, bei einem Unfall umzukommen, für Frauen 2,6-mal niedriger liegt als das für Männer.9
