War die lineare Algebra bisher wesentlich noch ein recht abstraktes Gebilde. kommen wir hier zu durchaus praktischen Aspekten, die mit linearen Glei- chungssystemen verbunden sind. Diese begegnen uns im Alltag, wenn z.B. Fragen der folgenden Art auftreten: „Welche Anzahl von Tischen lässt sich produzieren, wenn im Lager x1 Tischbeine, x2 Tischplatten, x3 Metallwinkel und x4 Schrauben zur Verfügung stehen?“
