Zusammenfassung

Das VKB ist die am häufigsten verletzte ligamentäre Struktur des Kniegelenkes (Cook et al. 1989, Johnson 1983, Maltry et al. 1989, Wentzensen et al. 1994), in der überwiegenden Mehrzahl, in bis zu 96% der Fälle, führen indirekte Traumen im Sport zu der Läsion (Aglietti et al. 1988, Andersson et al. 1989, Andrews et al. 1985, Boszotta et al. 1991, Feagin 1979, Gradinger 1991, Hipp et al. 1979, Imhoff et al. 1989, Johannsen u. Fruensgaard 1988, Jäger u. Wirth 1978, Kugler et al. 1996, Morgan et al. 1992, Müller 1984, Prager et al. 1989, Sandberg et al. 1987, Sandberg u. Balkfors 1988, Spindler et al. 1993, Webb et al. 1998). Fazit: Ohne den Sport wären VKB-Läsionen in Praxis und Klinik kaum zu sehen.
