Neuropsychologie und Elektrophysiologie kognitiver Defizite schizophrener Patienten

Zusammenfassung

Störungen von höheren geistigen Prozessen wie die des Denkens, der Sprache oder des Gedächtnisses gehören zu den zentralen Symptomen von Schizophrenien. Bereits zu Beginn dieses Jahrhunderts sind solche kognitiven Störungen von Bleuler [4] und Kraepelin [19] als wichtige Charakteristika schizophrener Psychosen beschrieben worden. Sie finden sich bei schizophrenen Patienten auch außerhalb akuter Erkrankungsphasen, beeinflussen die lebenspraktischen Fähigkeiten der Patienten und gehören zu den wichtigsten Prädiktoren für chronische Behinderung im täglichen Leben (Übersicht in [8]). Entsprechend sollten Störungen kognitiver Prozesse auch bei der Planung von Therapie und Rehabilitation schizophrener Patienten berücksichtigt werden [3].
