Zusammenfassung

Schmerzen an der dorsalen Fersenregion können verschiedene Ursachen haben. Probleme im Bereich des postero-superioren Kalkaneus können verursacht werden durch eine Paratenonitis, eine Achillodynie, eine Haglund-Exostose, einer Insertionstendinose der Achillessehne, einer Apophysitis calcanei und einer Bursitis subund prä-achillae (Clancy 1980, Fiamengo et al.1982, Heneghan/Pavlov 1984, Jones/James 1984, Keck/Kelly 1965, Leach et al. 1981, Mann 1986, Pavlov et al. 1982, Ruch 1974, Schepsis/Leach 1987 Im Jahre 1928 beschrieb der schwedische Orthopäde Patrick Haglund (1870–1937) den Fall eines schmerzhaften Rückfußes, der mit einer Ausziehung und Auftreibung des Tuber calcanei und einer starken Verschwielung vergesellschaftet war, welcher durch das Tragen eines Schuhwerkes mit rigider Fersenkappe verursacht wurde (Haglund 1928). Üblicherweise wird eine ausladende knöchernde Prominenz des dorsalen und lateralen Anteil des Kalkaneus als Haglund-Krankheit bezeichnet.
