Eine erfolgreiche Behandlung von Kindern mit Thoraxtrauma erfordert die Kenntnis spezifischer anatomischer und pathophysiologischer Faktoren [5]. Der nachfolgende Beitrag kann zwar nicht alle notwendigen Informationen im Detail darstellen, soll aber ein grundlegendes Verständnis für die Problematik vermitteln.
