Zusammenfassung
Die klinische und wissenschaftliche Beschäftigung mit traumatisierten Kindern und Jugendlichen ist integraler Bestandteil der Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie. Seit vielen Jahren ist eine Konsequenz hieraus die Etablierung entsprechender Diagnosen in den Klassifikationssystemen ICD-10 [3] und DSM-IV [11]. Die klinisch relevanten Traumata beziehen sich auf körperliche Misshandlung, emotionalen und/oder sexuellen Missbrauch oder auch auf Folgen von Krieg, Verfolgung und Emigration. Körperliche Verletzungen spielen bei einigen der genannten Traumata eine Rolle, stehen jedoch in der Regel nicht im Vordergrund der Behandlung bzw. des Verlaufs.
