Zusammenfassung
Wachstumsfaktoren sind Polypetide, welche die Stoffwechsel-und Proliferationseigenschaften von Chondrozyten entscheidend beeinflussen können. Man unterscheidet prinzipiell zwischen anabol und katabol wirksamen Peptiden. Die Wirkungsweise der Wachstumsfaktoren auf Chondrozyten ist äußerst vielfältig. Durch Bindung an spezifische Membranrezeptoren an der Zelloberfläche können sie die zellspezifischen Aktivitäten wie zum Beispiel den Glukosetransport, die Ionenströme, die DNA-, RNA- und Proteinsynthese oder auch die Zellteilung wirksam verändern.
