Zusammenfassung

Die vermutlich früheste Beschreibung einer induzierten wahnhaften Störung stammt aus dem Jahr 1651 und wird Harvey zugeschrieben (Greenberg 1956). Aber erst seit dem 1819 veröffentlichten Fall von Berlyn (Floru 1974) wird in der Literatur zunehmend darüber berichtet, dass bei zwei oder mehr Menschen, die gewöhnlich in einer engen Beziehung miteinander stehen, wahnhaftes Erleben in nahem zeitlichen Zusammenhang auftreten kann. Hinter dieser allgemeinen Formulierung verbergen sich jedoch recht unterschie dliche Konstellationen, die sich gleichwohl in Einzelaspekten überlappen, und für die als Obergriff der 1877 von Lasègue und Falret geprägte Terminus »folie à deux« (bzw. »à trois« usw.) auch heute noch verwendet wird (Arenz u. Stippel 1999, Arnone et al. 2006, Caduff u. Hubschmid 1995, Jabs et al. 2008, Kashiwase u. Kato 1997, Sacks 1988, Shimizu et al. 2007).
