In der Zahnmedizin wie auch in der Medizin ist die Diagnose und Behandlung des chronischen Schmerzpatienten eines der schwierigsten Probleme, mit denen der Mediziner konfrontiert ist. Zum Teil liegt dies daran, dass in unserem Grundstudium und der Facharztausbildung der Schwerpunkt hauptsächlich auf den Umgang mit akuten Schmerzpatienten gelegt wird.
