Abstract

In the last 7 years more than 250.000 artificial hip joints with components of the high performance ceramic composite BIOLOX® delta have been successfully implanted. Due to the unique strength and toughness of this material the risk of fracture has been drastically reduced when compared to BIOLOX® forte.
