Abstract

Between 2000 and 2002, We implanted 89 hybrid alumina-on-alumina hip arthroplasties in 85 consecutive patients. The prostheses involved a cemented stainless steel (orthinox®) stem, 28, 32mm alumina head, and a porous coated metal-backed socket with an alumina insert.
