Zusammenfassung
Das Marfan-Syndrom (MFS, OMIM 154700) ist eine der häufigsten erblichen Bindegewebeerkrankungen, das verschiedene Organsysteme, insbesondere das kardiovaskuläre, skeletale und okuläre Organsystem betrifft. 15–30% der Fälle treten sporadisch auf, 70–80% familiär. Die Diagnose wird klinisch anhand der Symptome gestellt, wenn die so genannten „Ghenter Kriterien“ erfüllt sind [3]. Die klinische Ausprägung ist sehr variabel, sowohl inter- als auch intrafamiliär, und reicht bis zu einer schweren neonatalen Form des Marfan-Syndroms [1, 12].
