Als Tachykardie bezeichnet man Herzfrequenzen > 100/min, dabei ist in aller Regel erst ab Frequenzen von 150/min von einer symptomatisch oder hämodynamisch relevanten Notfallsituation auszugehen. Die Differenzierung in hämodynamisch stabile oder instabile Tachykardien ist für das Vorgehen in der Akutsituation entscheidend (Abb. 4).
