Zusammenfassung
Die unterschiedlichen Therapieoptionen werden entsprechend ihrem Angriffspunkt in der Pathophysiologie des Lymphödems mit dem daraus resultierenden wahrscheinlichen Erfolgs- bzw. Misserfolgspotenzial dargestellt. Die direkte Rekonstruktion eines lokal unterbrochenen Lymphsystems durch die autogene Lymphgefäßtransplantation als zentrale chirurgische Antwort auf die entsprechende Pathophysiologie wird detailliert beschrieben.
