www.stationaerhandelgoesinternet.dk — how Danish retailers use the Internet

  • Conference paper
Logistik Management

Abstract

The paper presents an extension of the Kotzab and Madlberger (2001a,b) retail web-scan framework, which is here used to examine the Internet activities of the top 100 Danish retailers. The results show that traditional (= asset-based or stationary) retailers included more or less web-based distribution channels in their channel portfolio. However, not many of them would be considered as clicks-and- mortar retailers because of a limited use of the web as an active sales channel.
