This chapter aims at explorative, empirical substantiation of the developed framework through application in the context of Hessian °communities°. Hesse is one of the 16 federal states embodied in the Federal Republic of Germany. Around 6.1m inhabitants live in 420 Hessian °communities°.
Therefore, with purpose and focus of the substantiation characterised, a ‘case study’ has been chosen as the appropriate method. Subsequently, the main characteristics of the selected case are described by defining the unit of analysis and the sources of percepts that have been involved.
