Abstract

General possibility theory would be part of measure theory, fuzzy measures and evidence theory, and as such is beyond the scope of this book and to be included in a more advanced course. Instead we will introduce discrete possibilities in the next section and compare their properties to discrete probabilities. As an application of discrete possibilities we discuss finite Markov chain, based on possibility theory, in the third section.
