Abstract

This chapter is concerned with the global existence and asymptotic behavior of solutions with arbitrary initial data to a 1D nonlinear viscous heat-conductive real gas with two kinds of boundary conditions. More general constitutive relations will be studied and our assumptions on growth exponents of temperature include cases, never before studied.
