Abstract

In this chapter, we will discuss five infinite classes of slim dense near polygons and three “except ional” slim dense near hexagons. We will determine the convex subpolygons and the spreads of symmetry of these near polygons. For the near hexagons, we will determine all valuations. The above-mentioned near polygons cover all known examples of slim dense near polygons which are not glued. At the end of this chapter, we will also discuss the glued near polygons which can be derived from the five infinite classes and the three exceptional examples.
