Abstract

The treatment of dynamics and the e.m. interaction in composite systems is discussed within a field theory framework. Canonically this is done using the Bethe-Salpeter equation, where because of technical reasons one has to rely to one-meson-exchange type of force models. A novel approach is also described in which exact nonperturbative boundstate solutions of a field theory can be reconstructed. This may serve as a testing ground of possible few-body equations.
