Part of the Few-Body Systems book series (FEWBODY, volume 8)

The method of obtaining inclusive electromagnetic response functions of nuclei from their integral transform is described. The success of the method for two- and three-body nuclei is illustrated. It is shown how the approach can be applied to the response of 4He, which is under investigation at present. Furthermore, the applicability for exclusive (e, eN) reactions is discussed.
