Zusammenfassung
Bis vor kurzem stützten sich die Aussagen zur Lokalisation von Hirnfunktionen ausschließlich auf Läsionsuntersuchungen. Durch die Positronen-Emissions-Tomographie (PET) und die funktionelle Magnet-Resonanz-Tomographie (MRT) und Magnet-Encephalographie (MEG) stehen fokale Aktivierungen des regionalen Metabolismus, der Durchblutung oder der elektromagnetischen Felder ebenfalls für die Untersuchung der Lokalisation von Hirnfunktionen zur Verfügung. Dabei ergibt sich die Frage, welchen Stellenwert die Aktivierungsverfahren gegenüber der klassischen Läsionsmethode haben.
