Zusammenfassung

Zur Gruppe der Diphenylbutylpiperidine, die den Butyrophenonen chemisch strukturverwandt sind, gehören Pimozid (OrapR), Fluspirilen (ImapR) sowie das in der Bundesrepublik nicht mehr zugelassene Penfluridol (SemapR) und das nicht in den Handel gebrachte Clopimozid (Abb. 1). Neben der chemischen Strukturverwandtschaft ist allen genannten Substanzen ein ausgeprägter Kalzium-Antagonismus gemeinsam (Gould et al. 1983). Allerdings hat sich die Hypothese nicht bestätigen lassen, daß dies in Kombination mit den neuroleptischen Eigenschaften (Blockade von Dopaminrezeptoren im ZNS) möglicherweise eine geringere Inzidenz von extrapyramidal-motorischen Symptomen (EPS) und/oder eine spezifische Wirkung auf schizophrene Negativsymptome zur Folge haben könnte.
