Abstract

For quite a few years, robotics and, more generally, softautomation has become one of the main research topics at RISC-Linz (Research Institute for Symbolic Computation). Conditional on the fields of expertise of RISC-Linz, the concentration is on geometric problems like collision detection, collision free path finding, path tracking, forward and inverse kinematics, and software technological aspects as they appear e.g. in simulation systems, supervision systems, and control systems. Both, basic research as well as applications within industrial cooperations are studied.
