Zusammenfassung
Thrombozytenkonzentrate von Einzelspendern (Apheresekonzentrate) werden mittels Zellseparator gewonnen. Die bisherige Meinung, daß durch Einsatz von Thrombozytenkonzentraten von unausgewählten Einzelspendern die Rate der Alloimmunisierung und damit die Zahl der gegen Thrombozyten refraktären Patienten gesenkt werden kann, ist trotz zahlreicher Untersuchungen nicht bestätigt worden, da sich kein wesentlicher Vorteil gegenüber gepoolten, auch unausgewählten Thrombozytenkonzentraten aus Vollblutspenden oder Buffycoat gezeigt hat.
