Abstract

HyperTour is the first hypermedia touristic information system developed in Costa Rica. Its main goal is to promote sustainable ecotourism to this country. Its scope is limited to the Costa Rican National Park System, which includes more than 12% of the national territory. This effort is a first step in the development of a comprehensive national touristic information system.
