Problems and Experiences During the Installation of a PDMS

As we changed the location of our ICU to the newly built part of the hospital, we were confronted for the first time with the new PDMS for our ward. As we did not know that the computers were already installed at the new ICU, we were rather taken by surprise. At this time we neither had any information about this system, nor had we had the chance to see it before. Furthermore, the PDMS were not the only new machines in our ward. There were also new monitors, ventilators, and machines for hemodialysis. Therefore we had to spare a lot of time for lessons. Altogether this put an enormous stress on the care-personnel. And we had to give up our long-used and well-known written documentation.
