Psychopharmaka im Spannungsfeld zwischen Patienten, Angehörigen und Betreuern

Zusammenfassung

Im Gegensatz zur Therapie schwerer körperlicher Erkrankungen ist bei psychiatrischen Erkrankungen die Notwendigkeit einer pharmakologischen Therapie nicht allgemein akzeptiert. In Zeiten zunehmender Gemeindenähe beschränkt sich der pharmakotherapeutische Kontakt des Patienten nicht mehr auf eine Zweierbeziehung zwischen Behandler und Behandeltem, sondern viele Personen des therapeutischen und sozialen Netzwerkes üben Einfluß auf die Haltung zur Medikamenteneinnahme und damit direkt und indirekt auf die Compliance des Patienten aus. Es wird vorgeschlagen, im therapeutischen Alltag die Hintergründe und Konsequenzen von „pharmakophilen“ und „pharmakophoben“ Haltungen im Netzwerk zu erheben und den Problemen, die sich aus diesbezüglich diskrepanten Einstellungen im Netzwerk der Betreuung ergeben, aktiv zu begegnen.

Summary

Patients, relatives, therapists and psychopharmacological therapy: a field of tension. In contrast to the treatment of severe physical diseases the necessity of pharmacotherapy of mental disorders and disabilities is still under debate. Nowadays, as we treat mental disorders in the community, pharmacotherapy is no longer just a matter of the patient and the treating physician. Many persons of the therapeutic network exert their influences on patients’ attitudes towards the use of psychotropics and thus directly or indirectly affect compliance. We suggest to investigate the background and consequences of “pharmacophilic” and “pharmacophobic” attitudes and actively deal with the problem of discrepant conceptions and opinions within the therapeutic and social network of the patient.
